 Upper Derwent History and Archaeology Society

We are based in Edmundbyers in County Durham and our aim is to research the history and archaeology of the upper reaches of the Derwent Valley. The area is rich in lead mining history and offers opportunities for research into this field and into Medieval and prehistoric settlement. We have no website as yet but any interested persons may contact Andy Newton.
