This week sees the start of the two regular lecture series by local groups.
The Northumberland Archaeological Group’s first lecture is on Wednesday, with David Astbury talking on “Settlements in Southeast Northumberland: new discoveries through remote sensing”.
On Saturday Colm O’Brien will be talking on “Early Medieval Ecclesiastical Networks in Ireland, Scotland, England: an Inishowen Case Study” which is their first lecture of the Architectural and Archaeological Society of Durham and Northumberland. Their poster giving you details for this lecture is AASDN, 16.01.2016
Coquetdale Community Archaeology have sent us details of their programme up to May (though some details have yet to be confirmed) which I’ve added to our Events page for their details as CCA. We’ll announce their programme nearer the date of their first lecture. Our events page now has 53 events for 2016 – more details are still to come!
